The Farmington Boys Swim team returned to racing in the invitational format this past weekend while competing at the Ft. Zumwalt North Invitational.  The meet took place at the St. Peters Rec-Plex, which will be the site of the upcoming Boys MSHSAA State Championships next month.  FHS finished 10th in the overall team standings and scored 118.5 points.

Ari Woodson led the scoring attack with team record swims in the 50 Free (T-3rd, 22.97) and 100 Free (4th, 51.02).  Both efforts have him ranked and poised to be the first FHS swimmer to compete in the state championship meet.

Ari was joined by teammates Chris Orr, Gavin Eaton, and younger brother Sam Woodson for the 200 and 400 Freestyle Relay events.  The 200 Free Relay finished 4th in a season best time of 1:40.73 and the 400 Freestyle Relay finished 5th in a team record time of 3:47.62.  Both swims were well under the state consideration times.  The 200 Medley Relay team (Carter Murray, Dylan Weaver, Malachi Smith, Jon Bone) finished 11th.

Senior Dylan Weaver posted a lifetime best 1:15.75 in the 100 Breaststroke to score and finish 9th!  Sophomore Chris Orr took home a 9th place finish in the 50 Freestyle in a personal best of 25.49 and also put points on the board with a 10th place finish in the 100 Freestyle.  Sam Woodson rounded out the individual scoring with a strong 6th place finish in the 200 IM in a personal best time of 2:22.90 and a 13th place scoring effort in the 100 Butterfly.

Also of note:

• Carter Murray dropped 20 seconds off of his best time in the 500 Free (7:29.54)
• Titan Thomas dropped another 30+ seconds off of his best time in the 500 Free on his way to breaking the 8 minute barrier for the first time in 7:50.95!
• Jon Bone posted best times in the 200 Free (2:40.10) and 100 Breast (1:42.44)
• Malachi Smith improved his best times in the 100 Fly (1:27.08) and 100 Back (1:20.40)
